Introduction
I am Tamara Chaudesaigues, a web designer in Paris and founder of Minuit d’Orsay. I create websites and visual identities. I also do photography, a practice that I share on this blog.
On this blog, I share my favourite places, travels, fashion and beauty discoveries, and whatever catches my eye on a daily basis. I am also a tattoo artist: drawing remains another way of doing my job.

My journey
From drawing to tattoo,
from photography to web design.
A story of family and images
I grew up in a family of tattoo artists, alongside my father, Stéphane Chaudesaigues. Drawing, art books and discussions about colours or composition were part of everyday life. My first name is itself a reference to Tamara de Lempicka. Art Deco and Art Nouveau, notably Mucha, subsequently nurtured my own work.
When I was very young, I also spent a lot of time on Photoshop, retouching photos and creating montages. During my Year 10 work experience placement at the Imprimerie de l'Ouvèze in Sorgues, I discovered the work of a graphic designer, as well as papers, inks and printing.
Design, Canada, then tattooing
At 19, I studied design at Ynov in Aix-en-Provence: typography, graphic design, drawing and creative tools. After a few months in Canada, I returned to France in 2020. I then trained in tattooing, which has taken on a major role in my professional life.
There, I developed a body of work centred on colour, ornamentation and compositions inspired by Art Nouveau and Art Deco. This profession also taught me how to listen to a person, understand their project and build a proposal for them. I still tattoo today.
How Minuit d'Orsay was born
The breakthrough came from a Christmas conversation with my dad and brother, revolving around a mutual desire to develop our own projects. I bought my domain name and built my personal website to bring together my images, texts and work in a space that belongs to me.
I enjoyed designing this website just as much as the content it was going to feature: choosing the typefaces, organising the pages, finding the right spot for an image. Once it was finished, I wanted to create websites and identities for others. And that is how Minuit d'Orsay was born – my web design, visual identity, art direction and photography studio.
Its name combines Paris, through Orsay, and the time when ideas often come to me: midnight. The graphic design was already present before the tattoo; the studio has given it a central place in my work.
Paris, London and the blog
Paris is the starting point for Minuit d’Orsay. I want to develop projects there for brands, hotels, restaurants and independent venues. London is also taking on a growing role in my travels, my references and my professional aspirations.
My blog brings together what I discover and what I create: photography, fashion, beauty, culture, places to go, travel, design and tattooing. In it, I share the places I frequent, the products I use and the projects I am building. This personal perspective also feeds into my work as a web designer.
