When the regional press talks about tattooing
An editorial feature
La Provence got in touch for an article on end-of-year gift ideas. A journalist had spotted a back tattoo, a project realised at Graphicaderme in Avignon, inspired by the universe of Alphonse Mucha. That specific piece was what caught his attention.
The feature came out a week after our first exchange, in the Vaucluse edition of the paper. Not a portrait, not an interview — an editorial selection of local proposals, which included this Art Nouveau tattoo project.
What it means
Tattooing is starting to occupy a different space in the local press. Not just in specialist magazines, not just on Instagram. In a regional newspaper, in a culture section, alongside other local creative projects. That's a natural shift, and it's a good one.
For the studio, it's a concrete recognition of the work. For me, it confirms that working with real standards ends up speaking beyond the usual circles.

A journalist had spotted it on Instagram. He was looking for end-of-year gift ideas for the Vaucluse edition. This Art Nouveau colour tattoo made it into his selection.
A full colour Art Nouveau back tattoo inspired by Alphonse Mucha, realised at Graphicaderme in Avignon.
In the portfolio and in the article about my first colour back tattoo.
A tattoo inspired by the organic lines, feminine figures and compositions of the Art Nouveau movement, Alphonse Mucha above all. Lines that follow the body, a soft palette, an image that holds over time. More in this article.
Yes. Full back pieces, full sleeves, large colour projects — at Graphicaderme in Avignon, in Chaudes-Aigues in the Cantal, and as a guest artist in London. To discuss a project, the easiest way is the contact form.
